Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares

Wow. These chocolate squares are seriously to die for. This isn't your run of the mill, check-out aisle candy. This is heaven in a wrapper. The best ones are the caramel ones. If you haven't tried one...run out and buy some. Hershey's Kisses will be ruined for you forever.

Of course the chocolate is outstanding but the caramel is so smooth and fresh tasting. I think there is something about how it's just a very, very thin layer of filling. Delicious.

Salt Lake Temple Letterpress

I really love letterpress things. They are so detailed yet so simple and beautiful. I absolutely love this print of the Salt Lake Temple and would love one on my wall!

This amazing poster was made by hand, character by character, and took about 100 hours to make.  I love the details of it and I especially love that it is all done with typefaces.  Letterpressing is really an art and this is an incredible example of how beautiful it can be. 

The artist that did this one has done a few other pieces as well. This video shows how it is done and features the artist talking about his work.

A New Car!

My 1995 Nissan Sentra finally gave up on me. It was a great car and lasted much longer than I, or anyone else, thought it would. But the other day when I tried to go to work it wouldn't start. "Well, I knew this would happen one day."

The good news is I got a new car! I am absolutely loving my 2003 PT Cruiser. Luckily my dad happened to be in town when the old one broke down, so it was great to have his help at the dealership. Just a few of the perks: it can keep up with traffic while going uphill, the windshield wipers work, the cup holders are bigger and it doesn't smell like exhaust while I'm driving around. But in all seriousness, it is a great car with lots of fun features, it's spacious and it feels so much more solid. I'm so grateful for such a good car that works so much better.
